Decking FAQs

What services does Triple A Decking offer?

Triple A Decking designs and builds custom decks, porches, patios, and outdoor living additions. We manage every step — from the design concept and material selection to permits, construction, and final cleanup.

Do you build with both composite and wood materials?

Yes, we offer both composite and natural wood decking — but we highly recommend composite for most projects. Modern composite decking not only delivers a beautiful, low-maintenance finish but also outlasts traditional wood. With today’s lumber costs, wood and composite are often similar in price, but composite provides longer-lasting performance, less upkeep, and better resistance to weathering and fading.

Are there different types of low-maintenance decking?

Yes, there are many different types of low maintenance decking. The more common examples are:

Composite Decking is a blend of recycled plastic and wood fibers with an outer shell. Requires periodic cleaning with soap and water.

PVC Decking is fully synthetic made from polyvinyl chloride and is about 1/3 the weight of composite; it requires the lowest maintenance with only occasional cleaning.

Aluminum Decking is made from lightweight aluminum with virtually no maintenance needed.

How much does a new deck cost?

Deck pricing depends on several factors including size, materials, design complexity, height, and features like lighting or custom railings. We provide free on-site estimates to ensure accurate, upfront pricing.

Do you handle permits and code compliance?

Yes. Triple A Decking takes care of all necessary permits and inspections to ensure your project complies with local building codes and safety standards.

How long does it take to build a deck?

Most standard decks are completed within two to four weeks, depending on weather, size, materials, and design complexity. Larger or more detailed projects may take slightly longer.

Can you design a deck that matches my home’s style?

Absolutely. Every deck we build is custom designed to complement your home’s architecture and enhance its curb appeal and functionality.

Do you build on sloped or uneven ground?

Yes. Our team has extensive experience building decks on slopes, uneven terrain, and elevated foundations. We design each structure for stability, safety, and long-term durability.

What kind of maintenance does a deck require?

Maintenance depends on your material choice. Wood decks typically need staining or sealing every 2 years to protect against moisture and wear. Composite decking requires far less upkeep — just a thorough cleaning once or twice a year to keep it looking its best. Our team will guide you through simple care and maintenance steps to help your deck last for years.

Do you offer deck repairs or upgrades?

Yes. Triple A Decking offers full deck repair, resurfacing, and renovation services. We can replace worn boards, install new railings, or completely refresh your deck’s appearance.

Are your decks covered by a warranty?

Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship and use materials that include manufacturer warranties for lasting protection and peace of mind.
